We have been advised by the Ministry of Finance that a credit for import taxes would be applied for local auto companies, as this has happened in past instances.
“However these should be against transactions that have been properly vetted and certified by NEMA . Comprehensively insured vehicles would not qualify for the duty free replacement.”
